Your GPX data

When you upload a GPX file and search for fuel stations, your route's bounding box coordinates are sent to our own servers at f.pitstopper.net. For UK, France, Spain and Italy, these servers hold local copies of publicly available fuel station data. For Germany, coordinates are forwarded to the Tankerkoenig API to retrieve live prices. Your GPX file data is not stored on any server.

Your GPX file is processed entirely in your browser. We do not store your route data, your GPX files, or any search history.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool, to track anonymous visitor counts. Umami does not collect personal data, does not use cookies, and complies with GDPR. We use it simply to understand how many people use the tool.

Fuel price data

The fuel price data displayed on this site is sourced from GOV.UK, data.economie.gouv.fr, Tankerkoenig (MTS-K), the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica and MIMIT, and is updated regularly. We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in this data. Prices shown may not reflect the current price at the pump.

Where we detect prices that appear anomalous (e.g. significantly above or below average), we flag them with a warning, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any individual price.
